July 16, 2021 – Tupper Lake, NY – Malvin Matos has won the 2021 Empire Baseball league Home Run Derby contest after defeating Drew Thomas and Edward Salcedo of the Tupper Lake Riverpigs in the final Rounds.

Matos belted two big blasts into the lake behind the left field wall at Municipal Park to take the lead and the victory.

Matos becomes the 5th Annual Empire League Home Run Derby Contest winner.

Teammate Richard Miller hit the first homer of the night and made it to the Semi-Final round.
